Theme for 2027: PLACES

ATTENTION: This anthology has been postponed until 2027. All entry fees will be refunded (as soon as we figure out the best way to do it) including those who withdrew due to acceptance elsewhere. When we reopen for submissions, the guidelines will have changed. This will no longer be a contest, no prize money, the reading fee will be $2/entry, and we will consider previously published as long as the author owns the rights and the story fits all other guidelines. Thank you for your patience. Hope to see you this winter.

Guidelines:

• Submission period opens January 1, 2027.
• Include a cover letter with the author’s name, contact information, and a list of the titles entered. Length: 500 to 1500 words. All entries in one file.
• Format: 12pt Times New Roman (or similar–no San Serifs), double spaced, pages numbered, include no images.
• No AI generated work.
• Simultaneous submissions are permitted. Don’t withdraw if accepted elsewhere–we may still publish it.
• All stories should be submitted in WORD files—no PDFs.
• All contributors will receive one free copy.
• Submittable will manage the submission portal. They accept credit/debit cards and ACH payments. Please note: This anthology will not appear on our submissions page in Submittable until we open for reading in January 2027.
